What to Serve with Lamb Meatballs?

What to Serve with Lamb Meatballs (11 Best Sides)

Lamb meatballs are a fantastic dish to offer, particularly if you’re searching for something a little unusual to prepare.

Many people will eat them as an entrée, but they also perform very well as a side dish.

Side dishes that compliment the taste of lamb meatballs, such as mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables, are ideal.

Lamb meatballs go well with mashed potatoes, which absorb up any fluids released by the meatballs as they cook.

Try sautéing some onions and mushrooms before adding them to your mashed potatoes to give some color to your platter.

Roasted veggies are another choice if you don’t want to offer heavy cuisine.

Roasted veggies provide a range of colors and textures in one dish, making it an ideal main course or side dish for any occasion.

I’ve compiled a list of what I feel are the greatest side dishes to serve with lamb meatballs:

1. Roasted Potatoes

Roasted potatoes are one of my favorite side dishes to serve with lamb meatballs.

It is quite simple to construct and can be completed in less than an hour!

It’s also really tasty, so give it a try someday!

Heres how I do it:

  1. Chop onions and garlic cloves.
  2. Place them in a skillet with olive oil and roast until tender (approximately 20 minutes).
  3. Peel potatoes and cut them into cubes.
  4. Roast them in a separate pan with olive oil until tender (approximately 30 minutes).

2. Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Garlic mashed potatoes is another great side.

Its easy to make and it tastes amazing.

I like to serve my lamb meatballs with garlic mashed potatoes because it provides a little additional flavor to each mouthful, which enhances the overall taste of the dish.

Heres how to make it:

  1. To create this delectable side dish, just peel some potatoes and boil them until soft enough to mash.
  2. Then combine them in a bowl with the butter, milk, salt, pepper, and chopped garlic cloves.
  3. Mix all of these ingredients together until smooth before serving with your lamb meatballs!

This dish may be quickly made in less than an hour, making it ideal for a fast but great meal!

3. Roasted Vegetables

I can easily recommend roasted vegetables.

Roasting entire veggies on a baking sheet coated with parchment paper in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit is the best method to prepare them.

This will ensure that the veggies cook evenly and do not burn or cling to the pan.

You may season them to taste.I prefer to combine salt, pepper, and garlic powder with Italian seasoning since it provides flavor without being too salty or hot.

Because this dish is fast and simple, you’ll only need around 30 minutes to make everything!

4. Arugula Salad

Arugula salad is one of my favorite ways to serve lamb meatballs.

It’s simply so refreshing and light, and the crisp flavor cuts through the richness of the meatballs.

It’s also really simple to make: all you need is arugula, cherry tomatoes (or any comparable sized tomato), crumbled or cubed feta cheese, and a vinaigrette dressing.

Don’t be scared to experiment with your vinaigrette dressing! You may add garlic or onion powder to enhance depth of flavor, or even fresh basil leaves if you have them on hand (that’s what I did).

5. Baked Sweet Potato Fries

I like serving baked sweet potato fries since they are simple to prepare and complement the meaty meatballs.

Heres how to do it:

Simply chop your potatoes into thin strips and coat them with olive oil, salt, and pepper before roasting them at 400F for around 30 minutes.

This gives them a crispy outside and a soft inside, similar to their fried counterpart!

6. Quinoa Salad

I like cooking quinoa salad as a side dish since it contains nutritious ingredients and is fast and simple to prepare!

My favorite method to make this side dish is to cook the quinoa in chicken broth with olive oil and garlic before adding dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, and feta cheese and mixing everything together.

It may be served warm or cold; either way is delicious! I also like to add fresh herbs like dill or basil for taste.

This dish only takes approximately 30 minutes from start to finish, making it ideal for a fast supper that will amaze your visitors!

7. Grilled Asparagus

Lamb meatballs go well with grilled asparagus.

It’s easy and savory, but it also provides a wonderful green color to my dish, which is essential for presenting these meaty delicacies!

Heres how I do it:

  1. I start by washing the stalks and removing any woody bits.
  2. Then I cut them into sections about 1 inch long.
  3. After that, I spray both sides of each stalk with olive oil spray and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Then I grill them until each side is well browned (approximately 5 minutes each side).
  5. Finally, I take them off the grill and serve them beside my succulent meatballs. They taste fantastic together!

8. Roasted Beets

Beets are one of my favorite vegetables since they have such a deep taste that pairs well with lamb.

They also go well with kale and other leafy greens, which provide texture and nutrients to your dish.

I roast my beets in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes, or until soft and caramelized on the exterior.

They come out so sweet and delicious!

9. Cauliflower Mash

Not only is mashed cauliflower tasty, but it only takes 30 minutes to prepare!

Heres how:

  1. Chop the cauliflower into tiny pieces and place it in a saucepan of boiling water.
  2. Boil until tender (about five minutes).
  3. 4 cup).Drain the cauliflower and return it to the saucepan with an equal quantity of butter (approximately 1 tablespoon).
  4. Mash until smooth, then season to taste with salt and pepper.

10. Herbed Rice Pilaf

I love serving herbed rice pilaf.

Its super easy to make and takes just 30 minutes!

Heres how to make it:

  1. To begin making herbed rice pilaf, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Stir in 1 cup of rice for 5 minutes, or until the grains become opaque and begin to turn golden brown.
  3. Then, bring 4 cups of chicken broth or water to a boil.
  4. Simmer for 20 minutes, or until all liquid has been absorbed by the rice.
  5. 3 cup chopped fresh parsley or cilantro leaves along with salt and pepper to taste.Remove from the heat and add 1
  6. Serve hot with lamb meatballs!

11. Grilled Corn on The Cob

This side dish is really simple to prepare and requires very little time.

2 cup butter, 2 teaspoons kosher salt and black pepper, and a grill pan or cast-iron skillet are all required. You will need around 4 ears of corn, 1

  1. The first step is to husk the corn but leave the silk on it to keep it wet when grilling.
  2. Then, in a small mixing dish, add the butter and salt.
  3. Brush each ear of corn gently with the melted butter mixture, then grill until it begins to brown, approximately 10 minutes on each side.
