What to Serve with Buffalo Chicken Meatballs (9 Simple Side Dishes)

Rate this post

Buffalo chicken meatballs are a tasty complement to any meal.

They’re high in protein and ready to eat, so they can be added to almost any meal.

But what should you serve them with?

Vegetables are the ideal side dishes to offer with buffalo chicken meatballs. With ranch dressing, construct a basic salad of cucumbers, carrots, and celery sticks.

Red potatoes and hard-boiled eggs may also be combined to produce a potato salad. For more color and crunch, add some green pepper.

Serve your chicken meatballs over pasta or rice with steamed broccoli on the side for a more full supper.

What to Serve with Buffalo Chicken Meatballs (9 Easy Sides)

Here are 9 fantastic side dishes with buffalo chicken meatballs:

1. Potato Salad

I always serve my buffalo chicken meatballs with potato salad, and I never prepare the same recipe again.

Heres how I make it today:

  1. I peel and dice a few potatoes.
  2. I cook them until they are tender but not so mushy that they lose their form.
  3. I rinse the potatoes and place them in a dish with mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste, and garlic powder if you like that kind of thing!
  4. Then I mash everything together with a fork until everything is incorporated but still has some texture.

2. Macaroni Salad

This is a simple side dish that complements the spicy meatballs well.

  1. I cook elbows or shells in salted water until tender before making the macaroni salad. I drain them and place them in a mixing dish.
  2. Then I add mayonnaise (light or normal), diced celery, diced onion, sliced carrots, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

It’s such a simple recipe that you can make it from scratch if you want, but honestly, I simply buy the store-bought variety since it tastes so good!

People usually enjoy it when I serve these two together at events!

3. Coleslaw

Coleslaw is usually a good choice. It’s simple to create and pairs well with the meatball’s spicy-sweet sauce.

My preferred method for preparing and serving this meal is to first create the coleslaw, then grill the meatballs (I like them medium-rare).

All that remains is to arrange them on a dish and enjoy!

4. Sweet Potato Fries

I enjoy serving sweet potato fries because they are crunchy and tasty, but they also have a sweet taste that pairs nicely with the spicy meatballs.

Cut the sweet potatoes into thin strips or wedges before tossing them in olive oil, salt, and pepper.

You may bake them in the oven for about 20 minutes (or until soft), or cook them on a grill or in a pan on the stovetop over medium heat for approximately 10 minutes each side.

I like to serve these dishes together because they’re both so versatile–you can put one on top of a salad instead of dressing or dip it in ranch dressing for a little additional spice!

5. Roasted Broccoli

I like to serve my buffalo chicken meatballs with roasted broccoli since it completes the meal.

I prefer to prepare my own roasted broccoli by chopping up a head of broccoli into florets and roasting them in the oven for 15 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Then I mix them in a bowl with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and olive oil until equally coated.

If you wish, try adding some Cajun flavor or other seasonings!

I cook the broccoli first and then put it aside while I prepare the meatballs when I make these meals.

Then I just combine them on a serving plate and serve!

6. Baked Beans

I prefer to prepare baked beans in the slow cooker because it is quick and simple, and they turn out wonderfully every time.

  1. To begin, I place a can of beans in the slow cooker and cover them with water.
  2. Then I add some onion slices and garlic cloves (I leave them whole to make it easier to remove them afterwards).
  3. After that, I cook it for five hours on high or six hours on low. It takes some time, but it is well worth it!
  4. I drain off most of the liquid and add some BBQ sauce before serving them over rice or spaghetti (or anything else goes good with buffalo chicken).

7. Fried Okra (or Fried Green Tomatoes)

The first step in making fried okra is to thinly slice the pods.

The slices are then dredged in cornstarch before being fried in oil till golden and crispy.

This takes about 5 minutes.

On the side of a plate, I serve them with my buffalo chicken meatballs, or if I’m feeling adventurous and it’s not too hot outdoors, I’ll create a dinner out of it by adding a few pieces of fried okra to my buffalo chicken meatballs.

When serving fried okra with buffalo chicken meatballs, eat it with your fingers as an appetizer or snack, not with utensils!

This will be a huge mess, but it will be fun and tasty!

8. Cornbread

I like to make my own cornbread from scratch, but if you’re short on time (or just don’t have the energy), a box mix is a good substitute.

Its really easy and tastes great!

You may also use a ready-to-bake cornbread mix (just make sure it’s vegan).

After baking, cut the cornbread into pieces and serve with the buffalo chicken meatballs.

Top each cube with a dollop of sour cream or plain yogurt combined with spicy sauce to make it more delicious.

9. Mashed Potatoes (or Roasted Potatoes)

My buffalo chicken meatballs go well with mashed potatoes or roasted potatoes.

This simple side dish is simple to create from scratch.Simply boil some potatoes and mash them with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.

You may add garlic powder or other herbs if you want to go fancy.

When I make these dishes together, I usually serve the mashed potatoes in a small dish beside the buffalo chicken meatballs on my plate.

Then I take a bite of both at once!
