I don’t want to eat exclusively shrimp, no matter how much I like them or how much they draw attention when they’re on the dish.
I want a great side dish to go with it.
Here are a few of my favorites to serve with this recipe:

When you’re in a rush and don’t have the time or motivation to prepare a whole dinner, mashed potatoes are ideal!

They’re also perfect for taking your dinner out to eat since they’re easy to take in a Tupperware box.
2. Garlic bread
Another quick and easy side dish to serve with your shrimp is garlic bread! Simply toast several pieces of bread and add some garlic butter on top.
I adore garlic butter because it’s delicious and a terrific way to flavor your bread!
3. Canned Green beans
Green beans are the ideal side dish for garlic butter shrimp. If you’re serving this as a first course, don’t make it overly heavy.
4. Steamed broccoli
Steamed broccoli is a quick and simple side dish for the time-pressed chef.
Pack it in a Tupperware box and bring it to work, school, or a picnic. If you don’t like eating raw broccoli, steam it instead!
5. Rice pilaf
This recipe is simple to prepare and flexible, making it ideal for serving with almost any of your favorite dishes.
You may prepare the rice pilaf ahead of time, then chill it in the fridge until ready to serve.
All that remains is to heat it up and serve it with the shrimp. I like to use light and fluffy basmati rice, but you may use your favorite grain instead.

Asparagus is a really versatile vegetable that goes well with a wide range of cuisines, and it’s a very easy recipe to create.
Simply carefully wash the spears, trim the woody ends, and sprinkle with olive oil.
Sprinkle with salt and bake for ten minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, or until the spears begin to sear and turn gently brown.
They’re ready to eat when they’re soft, and they go well with shrimp.

In such scenario, plain basmati or jasmine rice would be OK, but for something a bit more tasty, try cilantro lime rice or this fantastic garlic ginger coconut rice.
If you like something lighter than rice, try pasta!
This garlic butter shrimp goes well with almost any type of pasta (try it over spaghetti! ), but if you want to go all out, serve it with linguine pasta (see also these 46 linguine pasta recipes) tossed in garlic sauce (I like to use my homemade alfredo for this), then top with fresh chopped parsley.
This is a no-brainer for a side dish with garlicky crispy shrimp. Broccoli or cauliflower sautéed in olive oil and seasoned to perfection is a sure bet.
